Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and gerontology from Stockton University, and her personal training certification from the World Instructor Training Schools.
She is a certified fitness instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, with CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross. Jennifer earned her certification in TRX suspension training, along with an extensive list of other impressive fitness methods and classes, including certification as an activity director and dementia practitioner.
Jennifer specializes in functional training and building strength. She has extensive experience in senior fitness and functionality. Jennifer enjoys kickboxing. Her background includes many types of martial arts, which she incorporates in her training sessions when appropriate. She also uses circuit training. She loves to lead Small Group Training. This allows her Group Fitness participants to train on the Fitness Floor to improve technique and increase strength beyond the studio.
She is skilled at helping members achieve weight loss goals. Jennifer empathizes with this population because she was once overweight. Through a balanced diet and regular exercise, she lost over 60 pounds and continues to maintain a healthy weight many years later.
Jennifer works closely with the fitness manager to assure members capitalize on the Center’s Training Program. She helps members discover workouts and equipment to best suit their unique needs.
