Andy believes variety is essential for a successful fitness program. She earned her comprehensive Pilates instructor certification through Peak Pilates. She has taught T’ai Chi Chuan for over 36 years, and was formerly a ballet dancer. Through these disciplines, she became interested in Pilates. She discovered Pilates complements any type of fitness training. She appreciates Pilates formalization of the basic techniques of movement to help practitioners perform better in daily life and in sports.
Her diverse background allows Andy to teach proper body mechanics, energy work, and breathing. In addition to Pilates, T’ai Chi, and Qigong, Andy loves teaching Zumba®. She is certified to teach Yang Family T’ai Chi Chuan from the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association, Qigong from the Chinese Healing Arts Center, and Zumba®. Andy is a member of IDEA Health & Fitness Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.
