SUSAN

Being an avid climber, member Susan was looking for her next conquest. Inspired by friends, she set her sights on climbing the tallest peak in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. A member of the Center since its opening, she already was physically fit, but needed extra training. For two years, she worked with Personal Trainer Lou and tackled all aspects of fitness, including endurance, cardio, and strength training. Susan even worked out with a weighted backpack. Thanks to this dedicated training, she had the strength and endurance needed for the 11 days on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Confident and worry-free, she completed her climb.
