You’ll be sure to find the perfect class at any skill level with our wide range of class styles–from cardio, strength, low-impact, high-intensity, to aquas-based. Every Group Fitness Instructor is certified and trained to safely and effectively help you get the most out of your workout. If you need assistance with modifications due to skill level or physical limitations, they’re here to guide you!

All Group Fitness classes are included with your membership. Once you pick your favorite classes, enjoy various times and instructors to accommodate your preferences.

All classes require reservations. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be able to book a spot 48 hours in advance through Empower M.E.

AQUA

Enjoy full-body workouts that improve balance, flexibility, and mobility using the water’s resistance while reducing stress on your joints. Whether you want high-intensity cardio, toning, or endurance training, there’s a class for everyone!

BARRE PILATES

A fusion of barre and Pilates, these classes utilize classical ballet moves and various equipment to enhance flexibility and muscle strength while creating lean, long muscles. It is a fun and dynamic workout that will sculpt your whole body.

CYCLE

Bring your cycle training indoors. Your instructor will take you on a journey of climbs, sprints, and flat riding that will build endurance and burn calories. Adjust your resistance levels and speed, so every ride meets your expectations.

DANCE

Dance your way through an energetic, aerobic workout that will keep you coming back for more. The overall intensity will vary depending on the class style. Dance-based cardio classes make sweating fun, with tons of class options to choose from!

GENTLE/SENIOR

Improve physical and mental health with slower and therapeutic strength training, flexibility, balance, and breathing exercises. Choose from a variety of classes to help improve daily function and reduce the risk of injury.

LES MILLS

Pre-choreographed classes with new music and moves launched every three months–incorporating cardio, strength, flexibility, balance, and so much more! With a range of styles to choose from, you’re sure to find the right class for you!

MAT PILATES

This popular mat workout developed by Joseph Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on core muscles while also training your arms and legs, improving body alignment, and increasing muscular balance.

MIND-BODY

Whether its meditation, stretching, or Tai Chi, these classes will reduce stress and ease anxiety while increasing flexibility and balance by promoting serenity through gentle, flowing movements and concentrated breathing techniques.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING (SGT)*

SGT combines the benefits of a Group Fitness class with the individualized attention of personal training. This hybrid program allows specialized attention while still maintaining the energy, fun, and social environment of group exercise.

As a member, not only do you already have access to a large variety of innovative in-club Group Fitness classes, you also have access to these classes virtually using our Virtual Group Fitness Platform. Now you can work out anytime, anywhere! Our Virtual Platform hosts your favorite classes with the same Certified Group Instructors you know and love, complete with a choice of on-demand or live-streaming. To begin to use this virtual service, you much first log into your Empower M.E. account and change your ‘Interests’ to include ‘Virtual Classes.’ Once you’ve updated your interests, you can sign-up for classes. Here’s a handy Instruction Manual to answer all your questions and to help you get started.

DID YOU KNOW THAT WE OFFER VIRTUAL PERSONAL TRAINING WITH OUR CERTIFIED TRAINERS?

Using the Zoom platform, your trainer will coach you through a virtual, individualized workout utilizing any equipment you have available or your bodyweight. Our virtual training is a great resource to help you stay on track with your fitness goals and still receive expert guidance and motivation from your Personal Trainer. GROUP FITNESS ETIQUETTE

To provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please be aware of the following:

CLASS PARTICIPATION
  • All Group Fitness classes are reservation only. You must book your spot in a class ahead of the scheduled start time. You can book a class 48 hours in advance through Empower M.E.
    • You can make class reservations two ways:
      • Online through your internet browser
      • or Mobile through the Empower M.E. log-in on your Movofit™ App by clicking the ‘Member Portal’ tile.
    • Check-in with the instructor to ensure attendance is confirmed.
    • Follow signage in the studios to accommodate physical distancing by standing on the distancing markers on the floor.
      • You may be moving around during some classes, so be courteous of space between yourself and other members during class
STUDIO ACCESS
  • Studios will not be accessible for use in between classes–do not enter the studio outside of class times.
  • Avoid congregation outside of the entrance before and after class.
    • Studio doors will open 10 minutes before the start of class. If you arrive early, please wait in a line outside the studio at a safe distance from other members.
  • At the end of class, please promptly exit the studio to avoid congregation. 
EQUIPMENT & PERSONAL ITEMS
  • Instructors will set up the studio beforehand with all the necessary equipment or instruct you which gear to grab. If you require additional or other equipment, see the instructor, and they will assist.
    • Take note of signage that denotes which equipment is available for use.
    • If you feel more comfortable, you may bring personal equipment. If you do bring supplies, you must disinfect all items before and after use, and please do not leave them unattended at any time.
  • Utilize the supplied hospital-grade disinfectant wipes and wipe down equipment before and after
    • After wiping down equipment at the end of class, return used equipment to its starting place.
  • No personal belongings are allowed in the studio outside of equipment, towel, or water bottle.
    • Place your belonging into a locker inside the Locker Room or those provided in the hallways. (Remember to bring a lock for the locker–locks are not provided. Locks are available for purchase at the Reception Desk.)
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
  • All class participants are required to wear an acceptable face mask or face covering for the class’s duration.
  • Everyone must practice good hand hygiene by washing or sanitizing hands regularly, avoid touching the face, and perform proper respiratory etiquette when coughing or sneezing.

Along with our already existent high standard of health, safety, and cleanliness, we have put into place our Pledge of Protection; a five-pronged multi-faceted approach to providing a safe member and employee experience: (1) regular screening, (2) increased levels of disinfecting/sanitizing, (3) controlled capacity, (4) physical distancing, and (5) hygiene and personal protection.
