Sruta’s Success Stories
Ken K.
Sruta has been a marvelous trainer! She is very attentive to my interests and designs thoughtful activities to help improve my performance. For example, I am an avid tennis player, and Sruta makes sure to include exercises designed to strengthen my shoulders so I can serve more effectively, and side-to-side activities that mimic the movements central to playing tennis.
She is also attentive to include exercise to maintain general good health for an older person (I am 84). Thus, we do push-ups, sit-to-stand exercises, and floor exercises that include hamstring, calf, and quadriceps stretching.
In sum, I cannot imagine a more thoughtful and helpful trainer! I meet with Sruta twice a week for an hour each time and consider myself fortunate to be working with her!

I started working with Sruta about a year ago, after a major surgery, because I wanted to get fit for a lot of upcoming world travel that included strenuous walking and climbing. From the beginning, Sruta was thoughtful about creating workouts that would build my strength and core without interfering with my recovery, and to make me stronger and fitter so I could enjoy my adventures. She was very cognizant of the need to tailor my exercises, so I didn’t cause any damage to myself!
She’s tough and doesn’t let me slack off, but she also listens and knows when not to push too far. In the past year, I’ve had two more surgeries, and she’s been great at adapting my workouts around my limitations. Every session is different, so I never get bored, and she’s flexible around my travel schedule. She challenges me in a good way and knows when to back off and let me have an easier session, and when to push me harder to continue developing my muscles and stamina.
Sruta is very personable, focused, funny, and keeps me accountable, which I need! I’m fitter and healthier because of her support and encouragement. I would 100% recommend Sruta, especially if you are like me – someone who needs to be gently pushed to remain motivated. I don’t possess the “gym rat” gene… and so I need that little extra bit of encouragement! I enjoy my twice-weekly hour-long sessions with Sruta and look forward to seeing her each time. I’m feeling fitter and healthier now.

After ending three months of physical therapy for sciatica in early June, I didn’t know how I could return to the gym and possibly get in shape for my daughter’s wedding in July. I was turning 71, and although swimming again, I doubted I could ever get my arms toned enough to look good in my sleeveless Mother of the Bride gown, much less have the stamina to dance the night away. I began training with Sruta who, focused on strength, flexibility, and functional movement. Sruta showed me exercises to do at the gym and at home to sculpt my arms and used a cross-section of the gym’s equipment to help strengthen my core while being mindful of the machines or movements that could reinjure my back. Not only did I feel confident walking down the aisle with my daughter, but I danced the night away–with plenty of energy left for the wedding brunch the following day! At 71, I feel younger and stronger than I did when I retired last year, and I look forward to training further with Sruta to enjoy an active retirement.

Sruta goes above and beyond to ensure that I achieve my goal of being physically fit for life. Sruta takes pride in making sure that I am working towards my goal. While exercise at home is ok, I was satisfied with walking and doing workout tapes. Now I have gone from not wanting to be a “gym rat” to looking forward to my weekly sessions!
